Professor Udai Banerji is Co-Director of the Drug Development Unit at The Institute of Cancer Research and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where he is also Professor of Molecular Cancer Pharmacology.
He is a leader in early-phase clinical trials and translational oncology, with a focus on the clinical development of targeted therapies and strategies to address drug resistance. His work spans biomarker-driven studies and first-in-human trials across a range of investigational agents.
Professor Banerji has served as principal investigator and co-investigator on over 200 early-phase studies and has contributed to the development of multiple novel therapeutics. His research integrates clinical pharmacology with translational science to inform treatment strategies in oncology.
He trained in internal medicine and oncology in India and the United Kingdom and has received recognition for his contributions to translational cancer research.
